DISPOSING OF MEDICINE
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TAKING MEDICINE
When you receive medicine from your doctor, pharmacist or clinic, read the instructions carefully. If you do not understand the instructions, ask your healthcare provider to explain them to you before you take the medicine. You must see a doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or do not improve.
DRIVING AND USING MEDICINES
Some medicines may affect your concentration, making ot unsafe to drive, use tools or machines. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first to ensure that your medicine will not affect your ability to drive or use tools or machinery so that you do not put yourself or others in danger.
HOW TO STORE YOUR MEDICINE
Keep all medicine out of reach and sight of children. Do not use your medicine after the expiry date, always refers to the last day of that month.
The leaflet will describe what the medicine should look like. Do not use the medicine if you notice any visible changes in the appearance of the medicine.
DISPOSING OF MEDICINE
Medicine should not be disposed of in the washbasin, kitchen sink, toilet or the municipal waste bin. Return all unused medicine to your pharmacy. Your pharmacist knows how to dispose of unwanted medicine safely and legally in order to protect the environment.
